Sulfation on polysaccharides from Zizania latifolia extracted using ultrasound: Characterization, antioxidant and anti-non-small cell lung cancer activities.

Scientists optimized ultrasonic-assisted extraction of Zizania latifolia (Ginseng in Water) polysaccharides, followed by sulfation. Sulfation improved antioxidant activity and significantly enhanced anti-non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) potency. SZLP-2 showed promise as a novel antioxidant and anti-NSCLC drug.
