Researchers investigated the blood pressure-lowering effect of Vernonia amygdalina leaf's aqueous fraction (VALAF) in a hypertensive model. VALAF contains secondary metabolites with antioxidant, anticancer, antidiabetic, and hepatoprotective properties.
