Extraction, Characterization, and Evaluation of the Cytotoxic Activity of Piperine in Its Isolated form and in Combination with Chemotherapeutics against Gastric Cancer.

Scientists have developed reliable, low-cost methods to extract piperine from black pepper. Piperine has shown good cytotoxic activity against aggressive gastric cancer cells, and can enhance the effectiveness of traditional chemotherapeutic drugs. It is a promising molecule for therapy investigations.

Phytofabrication of Selenium Nanoparticles with Moringa oleifera (MO-SeNPs) and Exploring Its Antioxidant and Antidiabetic Potential.

This study synthesized selenium nanoparticles using a plant extract, which showed high purity, antioxidant properties (DPPH scavenging activity), and potential as an antidiabetic agent (inhibiting α-amylase and α-glucosidase enzymes). The plant extract could be a promising source for nanoparticle synthesis with biomedical applications.
