Characteristics of lipid metabolism after treatment of colon cancer mice with American ginseng vesicles.

Researchers studied the presence of lipid molecules in tumours, which impact inflammation and antiviral defense. Changes in intestinal lipids due to stressors are linked to UC, IBD, and colorectal cancer. Understanding this can help in prevention and treatment strategies.

Exploration of the Molecular Mechanism of Curcuma aromatica Salisb's Anticolorectal Cancer Activity via the Integrative Approach of Network Pharmacology and Experimental Validation.

Salisb (Cur) has anti-inflammatory, anticarcinogenic, and antioxidant properties. Through network pharmacology and validation, it was found to protect against colorectal cancer by targeting key pathways (PTGS2, AKT1, TP53, ESR1). Further research may lead to clinical applications.

Angelica sinensis polysaccharide suppresses the Wnt/β-catenin-mediated malignant biological behaviors of breast cancer cells via the miR-3187-3p/PCDH10 axis.

ASP from Angelica sinensis inhibits breast cancer progression by regulating miR-3187-3p and PDCH10, suppressing Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. Potential treatment target for BC.

The anti-non-small cell lung cancer effect of Diosbulbin B: Targeting YY1 induced cell cycle arrest and apoptosis.

Scientists studied Diosbulbin B (DIOB) from Dioscorea bulbifera L. as a potential anti-cancer drug. DIOB shows promise in treating non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) at safe doses, but further research is needed.

Matrine induces autophagic cell death by triggering ROS/AMPK/mTOR axis and apoptosis in multiple myeloma.

Matrine from a Chinese herb induces autophagy in multiple myeloma cells, leading to cell death. Combining with rapamycin enhances anti-tumor activity. Potential therapeutic strategy targeting ROS/AMPK/mTOR axis.

Semisynthesis and biological evaluation of novel honokiol thioethers against colon cancer cells HCT116 via inhibiting the transcription and expression of YAP protein.

Novel honokiol thioether 3k, derived from a traditional Chinese medicine, showed superior anticancer activity against colon cancer cells. Inhibits cell proliferation and induces cell death by directly inhibiting YAP protein expression. Could be a promising anticancer candidate.
