Design of chitosan colon delivery micro/nano particles for an Achillea millefolium extract with antiproliferative activity against colorectal cancer cells.

Researchers designed micro/nanoparticles using chitosan to encapsulate a yarrow extract with anticancer properties. Spray-drying microparticles showed high encapsulation efficiency and effective release of phenolic compounds, making them a promising vehicle for delivering potential cancer-fighting agents to the colon.

Tetrastigma hemsleyanum polysaccharide combined with doxorubicin promote ferroptosis and immune function in triple-negative breast cancer.

THP from Tetrastigma hemsleyanum induces ferroptosis in TNBC cells, enhancing sensitivity to DOX. It improves tumor microenvironment, immune function, and organ toxicity caused by DOX, presenting a potential treatment strategy for TNBC.

Evidence of Urtica dioica Agglutinin's Antiproliferative and Anti-migratory Potentials on the Hyaluronic Acid-Overexpressing Prostate Cancer Cells.

Plant lectin agglutinin may inhibit tumor progression by targeting hyaluronic acid in prostate cancer cells. It competes with hyaluronic acid for CD44 binding, reducing cell viability and migration. This potential treatment could disrupt the CD44-HA pathway in cancer cells.

Licochalcone D exhibits cytotoxicity in breast cancer cells and enhances tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand-induced apoptosis through upregulation of death receptor 5.

Licochalcone D (LCD) from Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch inhibits breast cancer growth, induces DNA damage, and potentiates TRAIL-induced apoptosis via JNK/p38 MAPK-CHOP pathway. Promising natural anticancer agent.
