Fluorescence-Guided Laparoscopy after Oral Hypericin Administration for Staging of Locally Advanced Gastric Cancer-A Pilot Study.

Plant-derived hypericin was not detectable in peritoneal tissue, making fluorescence-guided laparoscopy (FGL) ineffective in detecting peritoneal metastasis in gastric cancer staging. More research needed to optimize hypericin concentrations for FGL effectiveness.

Patients with Advanced or Metastasised Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer with Viscum album L. Therapy in Addition to PD-1/PD-L1 Blockade: A Real-World Data Study.

Adding VA to PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors in NSCLC patients improves overall survival. 56% reduced risk of death compared to PD-1/PD-L1 alone, especially in PD-L1-positive tumors. Need more trials for confirmation.

Polyphyllin I induces rapid ferroptosis in acute myeloid leukemia through simultaneous targeting PI3K/SREBP-1/SCD1 axis and triggering of lipid peroxidation.

Polyphyllin I (PPI), from Paris polyphylla, exhibits strong cytotoxicity on AML cells via ferroptosis induction. PPI targets PI3K/SREBP-1/SCD1 axis and triggers lipid peroxidation, with potential to enhance erastin-induced ferroptosis. PPI is a PI3K inhibitor, inhibits tumor progression, and prolongs survival in mice.
