Studies on the ameliorative potential of Rheum webbianum rhizome extracts on 1,2-dimethylhydrazine (DMH) induced colorectal cancer and associated hepatic and haematological abnormalities in swiss albino rats.

Researchers studied the traditional plant Rheum webbianum Royle for its potential medicinal uses. It shows promise in treating cancer, controlling gastrointestinal issues, reducing inflammation, and preventing fibrosis. However, its effectiveness in treating colorectal cancer needs further investigation.

The immunotherapy mechanism of Hedyotis Diffusae Herba in treating liver cancer: a study based on network pharmacology, bioinformatics, and experimental validation.

Study evaluates Hedyotis diffusa Willd (HDW) in treating liver cancer through network pharmacology and experimental validation. HDW inhibits proliferation, promotes apoptosis, targets IL6 and TNF, and may activate key pathways. Provides promising treatment strategy for liver cancer.

Assessing anticancer, antidiabetic, and antioxidant capacities in green-synthesized zinc oxide nanoparticles and solvent-based plant extracts.

Researchers studied the potential of gum arabic tree-based zinc-oxide nanoparticles (ZnO-NPs) for cancer, diabetes, and oxidative stress. ZnO-NPs showed promising results for inhibiting cancer cell growth and antioxidant activity, suggesting potential pharmacological applications. Further research on safety and pathways is needed.

The peels of sacred Lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) rhizomes suppress allergic reactions by inhibiting the A23187-induced degranulation in rat basophilic leukemia (RBL2H3) cells.

Researchers isolated ten compounds from sacred lotus rhizome peels and found three, stigmasterol glucoside, oleanolic acid, and pinoresinol, effectively inhibited allergic reactions without harming cells. The findings suggest potential use for affordable anti-allergic treatments.

Determining of chemical composition, anti-pathogenic and anticancer activity of Mentha longifolia essential oil collected from Iran.

Study from Iran found essential oils from 3 ecotypes effective against plant pathogens and reduced colon tumour cell viability. Ecotype 3 showed highest concentration and potential for anti-tumour activity. Useful for plant disease control and anti-cancer research.
