Endocrinology Studies

Transfer of preclinical study data on the influence of cimicifuga racemosaon functional changes in the hippocampus during menopause.

Black cohosh extract (iCR) may help relieve menopausal symptoms, including hot flashes and cognitive impairments, in women who cannot or prefer not to use hormone replacement therapy. It works by affecting gene expression in the brain, especially in the hippocampus, to regulate various physiological and cognitive functions.

Therapeutic efficacy and anti-inflammatory mechanism of baicalein on endometriosis progression in patient-derived cell line and mouse model.

Baicalein from Scutellaria baicalensis has potential anti-inflammatory and antitumor effects, but its therapeutic mechanisms in endometriosis are not fully understood. Endometriosis is a painful gynecological condition with limited treatment options and high recurrence rates.

Mechanistic analyses reveal that Pueraria montana var. lobata (Willd.) is effective in inhibiting ovarian cancer progression.

The study explored the anti-tumor effects of P. montana var. lobata (Willd.) in ovarian cancer. Seven active ingredients were identified, along with key targets and pathways for potential treatment. Animal experiments showed promising results in inhibiting cancer progression. Further research and clinical trials are recommended.

Brunonianines D-F, three new C19-diterpenoid alkaloids from the Delphinium brunonianum, with therapeutic effect on ovarian cancer in vitro and in vivo.

Researchers isolated novel compounds from Delphinium brunonianum, a traditional Tibetan medicine, that show potent anti-tumor effects on ovarian cancer cells. These compounds offer potential as a natural alternative to chemotherapy with fewer side effects.

Protective Potential of Methanol Extract of Drymaria cordata Willd. ex Schult (MEDC) on Letrozole-Induced Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Via Modulation of Apoptotic Markers, Sex Hormones and Antioxidant Status in Rat Model.

Researchers investigated the effects of Drymaria cordata extract on PCOS in rats. Results suggest it may protect against PCOS by restoring hormonal balance, improving lipid profiles, and enhancing antioxidant levels.

Mitigating Effect of Lepidium sativum Seeds Oil on Ovarian Oxidative Stress, DNA Abnormality and Hormonal Disturbances Induced by Acrylamide in Rats.

L. sativum seeds oil contains antioxidants that protect rats' ovaries from acrylamide damage, reducing levels of harmful compounds and improving reproductive health. This may offer a new treatment for female infertility.

Bergenin attenuates triptolide-caused premature ovarian failure in mice based on the antioxidant activity.

Bergenin helps prevent premature ovarian failure caused by Tripterygium wilfordii in mice by reducing oxidative stress and preventing ovarian cell apoptosis. Could improve clinical use of TW preparations for autoimmune diseases.

Attenuated total reflection Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy for the prediction of hormone concentrations in plants.

Researchers used ATR-FTIR spectroscopy and chemometrics to accurately predict plant hormone concentrations in Japanese knotweed under different environmental conditions. This method offers advantages over current techniques for quantifying growth regulators in plants.
