Phytoconstituents, antioxidant and antiglycation activity of Chrysophyllum cainito L., Hancornia speciosa Gomes and Plinia glomerata Berg. fruits.
Researchers studied the antioxidant and antiglycation activities of three unconventional wild edible fruits. They identified various phytoconstituents and observed significant sugar, vitamin C, and carotenoid content. The fruits exhibited antioxidant properties, with Chrysophyllum cainito peel showing the highest efficacy. Plinia glomerata showed significant antiglycation activity. These findings provide valuable information for further research on the application, preservation, and conservation of these fruits.
