Inonotsutriol E from Inonotus obliquus exhibits promising anti breast cancer activity via regulating the JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway.

Scientists studied a fungus and found compounds that can kill tumor cells, especially in breast cancer. One compound, ITE, inhibits the growth and migration of breast cancer cells by blocking the JAK2/STAT3 signal axis. This study supports the use of this fungus in cancer treatment.
