Qisheng Wan formula ameliorates cognitive impairment of Alzheimer's disease rat via inflammation inhibition and intestinal microbiota regulation.

Qisheng Wan formula (QWF), a traditional Chinese medicine, has been used to treat forgetfulness and dementia due to its ability to improve cognitive function. QWF consists of seven herbal drugs, including Poria cocos, Cinnamomum cassia, and Panax ginseng. Its efficacy has been documented in the book Sheng Ji Zong Lu, written in 1117. While further research is needed to validate QWF's effectiveness, its long-standing use in traditional medicine highlights the potential benefits of natural remedies.

Fatigue Due to Multiple Sclerosis: A Comparison Between Persian Medicine and Conventional Medicine.

This study looks at the causes and treatments of fatigue in multiple sclerosis (MS). Researchers compared conventional medicine to Persian medicine (PM) and found that PM suggests the use of neurotonic herbs to alleviate fatigue by reinforcing the brain. The herbs, such as ashwagandha and ginseng, have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that may be helpful in treating fatigue. Further studies are needed to confirm their effectiveness. Fatigue is a common symptom of MS and can be a significant barrier to daily activities.
