Furanonaphthoquinones, Diterpenes, and Flavonoids from Sweet Marjoram and Investigation of Antimicrobial, Bacterial Efflux, and Biofilm Formation Inhibitory Activities.

The chloroform extract from exhibited strong antibacterial and antifungal activity. Six compounds were isolated, including previously undescribed ones. Majoranaquinone showed high antibacterial effect, inhibition of efflux pumps, and inhibition of biofilm formation. It should be considered for antimicrobial effects of .

Room-temperature synthesis of imine-linked magnetic covalent organic polymers in deep eutectic solvents for the extraction of flavonoids and their determination with HPLC-MS/MS.

Scientists synthesized a new magnetic polymer using environmentally friendly solvents. This polymer was used for extraction of flavonoids, achieving good results in terms of linearity, enrichment factors, and detection limits. The method was successfully applied to determine flavonoids in a plant sample.
