Green synthesis of Eucalyptus globulus zinc nanoparticles and its use in antimicrobial insect repellent paint formulation in bulk industrial production.

Researchers developed eco-friendly insect-repellent paint coatings using plant-based materials like zinc nanoparticles of L. with antibacterial properties. These coatings effectively repelled insects, had lighter colors, and lasted longer against mosquitoes, providing safe and sustainable solutions for combating climate change.

Discovery of Artemisinins as Microsomal Prostaglandins Synthase-2 Inhibitors for the Treatment of Colorectal Cancer via Chemoproteomics.

Artemisinin, an active compound from a Chinese herb, inhibits colorectal cancer cell growth by targeting microsomal prostaglandins synthase-2, reducing prostaglandin E biosynthesis. This discovery could lead to new treatments for colon cancer.

Cymbopogon citratus L. essential oil as a potential anti-biofilm agent active against antibiotic-resistant bacteria isolated from chronic rhinosinusitis patients.

Lemongrass essential oil (EO) has strong antibiofilm activity against antibiotic-resistant bacteria causing chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS). It inhibits biofilm formation, disrupts biofilm matrix, and increases bacterial motility, making it a potential anti-biofilm agent for CRS treatment.
