Uncovering Mechanism and Efficacy of Salvia Miltiorrhiza-Safflower in Cerebral Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury.

This study investigates the molecular regulation and therapeutic effectiveness of the Danshen-Honghua herb pair for cerebral ischemia (CI). By identifying common targets and pathways, it suggests that DH may activate the TNF-α/JNK signaling pathway for CI treatment.

Six new coumarins from the roots of Toddalia asiatica and their anti-inflammatory activities.

Scientists discovered six new compounds, toddasirins A-F, from Toddalia asiatica roots. The compounds were structurally elucidated and assessed for anti-inflammatory activity. Compounds 1-3 and 6 exhibited significant inhibition of nitric oxide (NO) production in RAW 264.7 cells induced by lipopolysaccharide.

Reversal of mitochondrial permeability transition pore and pancreas degeneration by chloroform fraction of Ocimum gratissimum (L.) leaf extract in type 2 diabetic rat model.

This study investigated the effects of the chloroform fraction of (L.) leaf (CFOG) in reversing tissue wastage in diabetes. CFOG reduced insulin resistance, improved pancreatic cell regeneration, and inhibited mitochondrial dysfunction. The main active compound in CFOG was lupanol. This suggests the potential use of CFOG as an alternative therapy for diabetes.

The extract from Portulaca oleracea L. rehabilitates skin photoaging via adjusting miR-138-5p/Sirt1-mediated inflammation and oxidative stress.

Purslane extract protects against skin aging caused by UV radiation by reducing oxidative damage and inflammation. It regulates miR-138-5p/Sirt1 signaling, making it a potential natural product for skin care.

The effects of titanium dioxide (TiO(2)) nanoparticles on physiological, biochemical, and antioxidant properties of Vitex plant (Vitex agnus - Castus L).

Spraying titanium dioxide nanoparticles on plants improved root and shoot growth but reduced leaf weight. It also increased chlorophyll levels and antioxidant enzyme activity without affecting proline and soluble protein content, suggesting potential benefits for plant growth and biochemical properties.
