Curcumin suppresses the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway by inhibiting NKD2 methylation to ameliorate intestinal ischemia/reperfusion injury.

Curcumin (CCM) reduces inflammation, cell apoptosis, and oxidative stress caused by intestinal ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury. It mediates these effects by inhibiting the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway through NKD2 methylation. Promising treatment for I/R injury.

Antifungal edible coatings for fruits based on zein and chitosan nanowhiskers.

The study investigated the use of a zein coating containing chitosan nanowhiskers (CSW) to protect guava fruits from spoilage and extend their shelf life. The CSW coating was found to prevent microbial growth and maintain fruit quality during storage. This finding is important for preserving the quality of fresh produce and extending its shelf life.

Reactive oxygen species induced oxidative damage to DNA, lipids, and proteins of antibiotic-resistant bacteria by plant-based silver nanoparticles.

This study found that plant-based silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) effectively damage antibiotic-resistant bacteria through oxidative damage. AgNPs synthesized through and extracts were most effective in and , respectively. The results show that AgNPs can kill bacteria by altering DNA, lipids, and proteins.

Molecular mapping of two novel cold resistance genes in common wheat by 660K SNP array.

The study discovered and mapped two new cold resistance genes in wheat, which can help improve wheat yield in low temperature conditions. The genes control cold resistance and their identification lays the foundation for further research and cloning.
