Obtaining polyphenolic extracts from pomegranate peel (Punica granatum) to evaluate the bactericide and antioxidant activity.

This study in Mexico analyzed three varieties of pomegranate peel and found that extracting polyphenols using acetone produced the best antioxidant and antibacterial results in the Apaseo variety. Useful for food or drug formulation.

Antifungal potentiality of mycogenic silver nanoparticles capped with chitosan produced by endophytic Amesia atrobrunnea.

This research developed silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) from an endophytic fungus and encapsulated them with chitosan. Optimal conditions for synthesis were determined and the nanoparticles were characterized. Chitosan-coated AgNPs showed antifungal activity against various pathogens.

The Optimization of Medium Conditions and Auxins in the Induction of Adventitious Roots of Pokeweed (Phytolacca americana L.) and Their Phytochemical Constituents.

Researchers optimized parameters for adventitious root induction in pokeweed using different medium states and treatments with auxins. Semisolid medium with 2mg/L NAA showed high root induction efficiency, while liquid medium with 1mg/L NAA had the highest phytochemical contents. These findings can aid in adventitious root culture and phytochemical production.
