Hypoglycemic activity of Syzygium cumini (L.) Skeels seed extracts: an approach to in vitro, in vivo, and in silico studies.

Seed extracts were found to inhibit enzymes related to glucose metabolism and reduce blood glucose levels in rats. The acetone extract was most effective, and 1,2,3-Benzenetriol showed high affinity for human pancreatic α-amylase, indicating potential for managing diabetes.

The effect of cinnamon supplementation on glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus: An updated systematic review and dose-response meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.

This meta-analysis of 24 randomized controlled trials found that cinnamon supplementation significantly reduced fasting blood sugar, insulin resistance, and hemoglobin A1C levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. Cinnamon may be an effective adjunct therapy for managing diabetes.

Mechanism of the antidiabetic action of Nigella sativa and Thymoquinone: a review.

Nigella sativa (NS) has proven to effectively manage diabetes by improving glucose tolerance, reducing liver glucose production, balancing blood sugar and lipid levels, and stimulating insulin secretion. It counters oxidative stress and prevents diabetes onset and progression.

Characterization of the structure, antioxidant activity and hypoglycemic activity of soy (Glycine max L.) protein hydrolysates.

A study hydrolyzed soy isolate protein with five enzymes and evaluated their effects. The alcalase hydrolysate showed the highest potential in terms of antioxidant and hypoglycemic activities. It also had the greatest biological activities overall.

Antidiabetic Effect of Combined Leaf Extracts of Portulaca oleracea L., Beta vulgaris L., and Cichorium intybus L. in Streptozotocin-Induced Diabetic Rats.

Combining purslane, chard, and chicory leaf extracts improved glucose control in diabetic rats, restoring liver and pancreas health. This could lead to the development of natural drugs for diabetes.
