Scientists studied the impact of various nanoparticles combined with cadmium on lettuce plants. Findings indicate that certain nanoparticles improve growth and photosynthesis, reduce toxicity, and increase tolerance to cadmium. Further research is needed for optimal use in different environments.
This study developed a gel containing three Chinese herbal extracts and tested its pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effects. Results showed that the gel effectively reduced pain and inflammation. It could be beneficial for developing pain medications or treatments for rheumatoid arthritis.
This study analyzed the phenolic composition and antioxidant properties of different varieties of fig fruits. The dark purple species had the highest total polyphenol content and total antioxidant capacity, while the purple species had the highest flavonoid content and DPPH radical scavenging activity.
This study investigated how titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO NPs) can improve the physiological responses and phytochemical properties of Melissa officinalis (medicinal plant) under drought stress. The results showed that TiO NPs increased essential oil production, photosynthetic pigments, antioxidant systems, nutrient absorption, and reduced stress levels.
This study examined the effects of Ophiopogonin D (OP-D) on non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in mice. OP-D was found to improve NAFLD by regulating lipid metabolism, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory responses. OP-D also reduced lipogenesis and inflammation, potentially through the NF-κB signaling pathway.
Root extracts were found to have strong antitubercular, antibacterial, and antioxidant properties. The extracts contain various compounds with potential biomedical applications.
Anagallis arvensis extract has shown hepatoprotective and hepatocurative effects against liver injury caused by carbon tetrachloride (CCl). It regulates liver enzymes, antioxidant markers, and hematological parameters, and can be used as a restorative agent due to its secondary metabolites.
