Baicalin Reduces Renal Inflammation in Mesangial Proliferative Glomerulonephritis through Activation of Nrf2/ARE and PI3K/AKT Pathways.
Baicalin, found in Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi plant, has been shown to have kidney-protective properties. However, its impact on mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis (MPGN) is not well understood. This study aimed to explore the effect of Baicalin on MPGN and uncover the mechanisms involved. By understanding how Baicalin affects MPGN, we can potentially develop new therapies for this prevalent form of primary glomerulonephritis.
