Involvement of autophagy in mesaconitine-induced neurotoxicity in HT22 cells revealed through integrated transcriptomic, proteomic, and m6A epitranscriptomic profiling.

Mesaconitine induces neurotoxicity by causing oxidative stress and mitochondrial damage, activating autophagy, and altering RNA methylation. Understanding these mechanisms enhances the safe use of aconitum in medicine.

Effects of Eurotium Cristatum on soybean (Glycine max L.) polyphenols and the inhibitory ability of soybean polyphenols on acetylcholinesterase under different conditions.

Solid-state fermentation of soybeans increases polyphenol content, which can combat Alzheimer's disease. Conditions: 12 days fermentation, 15% inoculation, initial pH 2. Results: 4.98x free polyphenols, 2.38x bound polyphenols, 4.16x total phenols compared to unfermented soybeans. Free polyphenols inhibit acetylcholinesterase by 91.51%.

The Neuroprotective Effects of Oroxylum indicum Extract in SHSY-5Y Neuronal Cells by Upregulating BDNF Gene Expression under LPS Induced Inflammation.

Researchers found an herbal extract called Sabroxy can significantly increase BDNF expression, supporting neuronal health and protecting against inflammation. Sabroxy's antioxidant properties could mitigate neurodegeneration damage. This suggests a potential therapeutic application for neurological disorders.

An In Vivo and In Silico Approach Reveals Possible Sodium Channel Nav1.2 Inhibitors from Ficus religiosa as a Novel Treatment for Epilepsy.

Scientists used in vivo and in silico approaches to identify potential Nav1.2 blockers for epilepsy management. Plant extracts showed promise in mice, with two compounds showing stable binding to Nav1.2. This research could lead to new, effective, and natural antiepileptic drugs with fewer side effects.
