A rapid localization and analysis method for isoquinoline alkaloids with fluorescence in Coptis chinensis Franch. By fabricating the nano-silver sol as a substrate for surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy.

Scientists developed a fast and sensitive method using surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy to analyze traditional Chinese medicines (TCMs). This method overcomes limitations of traditional detection methods and helps ensure the quality and safety of TCMs.

Three new flavonoid glycosides isolated from Pteridium aquilinum.

Three new flavonoid glycosides were isolated from the aerial of a plant. They may serve as chemotaxonomic markers for the species. These compounds also showed potential anti-inflammatory activity, inhibiting NF-κB induction by 46.3%, 59.6%, and 29.2%.

Anti-tuberculosis activity of morusin: a promising flavonoid from white mulberry.

Researchers tested the efficacy of morusin, a flavone found in white mulberry bark, against various strains of tuberculosis. Morusin showed potential as a alternative or precursor drug for TB treatment, but further studies are needed to understand its mechanism and test it on clinical isolates.
