Raw Inonotus obliquus polysaccharide counteracts Alzheimer's disease in a transgenic mouse model by activating the ubiquitin-proteosome system.

Studying the potential link between an antidiabetic herb and Alzheimer's disease (AD), researchers tested the effects of raw polysaccharide (IOP) in AD mice. Results may provide insights for AD treatment.

The effect of black mulberry (Morus nigra) consumption on cognition in patients with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's dementia: A pilot feasibility study.

This study tested the effects of black mulberry on cognitive function in Alzheimer's disease (AD) patients. Those given black mulberry had improved cognitive scores, suggesting it may have potential benefits for AD.

Inhalation of Origanum majorana L. essential oil while working reduces perceived stress and anxiety levels of nurses in a COVID-19 intensive care unit: a randomized controlled trial.

This study found that inhaling marjoram essential oil at work can potentially reduce stress and anxiety levels of nurses in a COVID-19 ICU. This may lead to better quality of patient care.

The hepato- and neuroprotective effect of gold Casuarina equisetifolia bark nano-extract against Chlorpyrifos-induced toxicity in rats.

Researchers discovered that the bark of Casuarina equisetifolia contains substances that can be used to make gold nanoparticles. These nanoparticles were found to be helpful in reducing the toxicity caused by Chlorpyrifos in rats.

β-asarone improves cognitive impairment and alleviates autophagy in mice with vascular dementia via the cAMP/PKA/CREB pathway.

Researchers investigated the potential of β-asarone, a compound found in a plant called Acorus tatarinowii Schott, to reduce damage in cells deprived of oxygen and improve learning and memory. The study aims to determine if β-asarone can alleviate cerebral ischemic injury in mice with vascular dementia by acting through the cAMP/PKA/CREB pathway.

Solanum melongena extract supplementation protected skeletal muscle and brain damage by regulation of BDNF/PGC1α/irisin pathway via brain function-related myokines in high-fat diet induced obese mice.

This study investigated the effects of SM extract (SME) on muscle and brain damage in obese mice. SME supplementation increased muscle-derived myokines and activated neurotrophic factors, potentially providing neuroprotection. SME may be used to prevent muscle and brain damage in obese patients.
